Preparations for Durgotsav 2026 Begin at Bakri Bazar; Grand Pandal to be Modeled After Brihadeeswarar Temple
Ranchi: The Bharatiya Yuvak Sangh, situated in Ranchi's Bakri Bazar, has commenced preparations for Durgotsav 2026. During a meeting, it was decided that this year's pandal would be constructed in the likeness of Tamil Nadu's renowned Brihadeeswarar Temple. President Rahul Agarwal stated that the pandal would be crafted using natural materials, and a colossal statue of Nandi positioned outside is expected to serve as a major focal point of attraction. The task of designing the pandal has been entrusted to artists from Bengal. Construction work is scheduled to begin in the first week of July with a *Bhoomi Pujan* (ground-breaking ceremony). The Sangh has been actively involved in social and religious activities since 1958. Several members attended the meeting and reached a consensus on ensuring that the event is a grand success.
