Ranchi: Former Union Minister and MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy, in a press conference held at the BJP state office, described the 2026-27 budget as a strong foundation for an 'Atmanirbhar (self-reliant) and developed India'. He said that due to the policies of the Modi government, Jharkhand will receive ₹51,236 crore this year in tax devolution, which will strengthen the state's infrastructure.
Listing the achievements, Rudy said that Jharkhand has become a state with 100% railway electrification and currently, 7 Vande Bharat trains are running here. Referring to schemes like the 'Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Upliftment Campaign' and AIIMS Deoghar, he said that the budget has given special emphasis on tribal welfare and education and health. According to him, this budget provides Jharkhand not only with resources but also with respect and new opportunities for development.
