Nothing Is Possible Without Education: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tarachand

Parents Urged to Give Children Full Opportunities at Special Parent–Teacher Day

Lohardaga |

As per the directions of the state government, a four-day Third Special Parent–Teacher Meeting (PTM) has commenced in all government schools across the state. Under this initiative, a program was organized at the Government-aided Kasturba Balika Middle School, Lohardaga, where Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tarachand participated as the chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner said that nothing in life is possible without education. Whether it is agriculture, tailoring, running a shop or hotel, or aspiring to become a doctor, engineer, or serve in the police, defense, or any other service sector, education is essential in every field. He added that although Lohardaga is one of the smallest districts of Jharkhand in terms of area and population, education alone can determine the future direction and development of the district.

He appealed to students to attend school regularly and take their studies seriously. Emphasizing the role of parents, he said that childhood is the right age to learn, and the importance of education understood at this stage becomes valuable throughout life. Parents were urged to ensure that children attend school daily and develop good learning habits early on.

Dr. Tarachand also highlighted that government schools have highly qualified teachers who have been selected through competitive examinations. He stressed that school management should make the best use of their skills and experience to shape the future of the nation. Educated youth, he said, must be prepared to face challenges and emerge as aware and responsible citizens.

During the PTM, teachers held constructive discussions with parents on key issues such as student enrollment, regular attendance, the academic environment of the school, coverage under the PM Poshan Scheme, examination preparation, and readiness for competitive examinations including railway recruitment exams. The objective of the meeting was to strengthen coordination between schools and parents and to encourage collective participation for the holistic development of students and schools.

The program was attended by the school headmaster, teachers, parents, and students.
