A review meeting on assets and financial matters of the Health Department was held on Friday at the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tarachand. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner issued strict directions for taking legal action against quack doctors and those running hospitals without valid authorization in the district.
Discussions were held on the Chief Minister Hospital Maintenance Scheme and the “Nayi Pahal Kit.” The Deputy Commissioner directed officials to initiate advance action to ensure the supply of items under the Nayi Pahal Kit that have not yet been received from the state government.
All Medical Officers-in-Charge were instructed to utilize the funds generated by providing benefits to patients under the Ayushman Bharat scheme to start additional facilities in hospitals. The Civil Surgeon was specifically directed to ensure strict legal action against unqualified practitioners and unauthorized hospital operators.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed all Medical Officers-in-Charge to ensure timely expenditure of allocated funds under the prescribed heads. Emphasis was laid on encouraging people to seek treatment at Community Health Centers to strengthen public healthcare services at the grassroots level.
The meeting was attended by Civil Surgeon Dr. Raju Kachhap, all Medical Officers-in-Charge, and other concerned officials.
