Banking Exam Fraud Case: Bail Denied to Accused Manish Kumar Alias Rajnish Kumar, in Jail Since November 23

In a case related to alleged fraud in a banking examination, the court has refused to grant bail to the accused. The court of Additional Sessions Judge–VII , while hearing Bail Petition No. 1620/2025, rejected the bail plea of accused Manish Kumar alias Rajnish Kumar.

The case pertains to case, registered under Sections 319(2) and 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 8/12(3) of the . The accused has been in judicial custody since November 23, 2025.

According to the prosecution, during the held on November 22, 2025, suspicion arose during verification at an examination center located in Tupudana. Upon inquiry, it was found that Manish Kumar was appearing in the examination on behalf of his friend, Saurabh Kumar.

The prosecution informed the court that the photograph captured at the time of entry did not match the photograph of the original candidate, Saurabh Kumar, clearly indicating impersonation. Based on the materials available in the case diary, the court observed that the role of the accused appeared to be serious and that the investigation is still ongoing. In such circumstances, custodial interrogation of the accused was considered necessary.

The court further clarified that the position of co-accused Shishupal Kumar is different, as it has not been established that he appeared in the examination on behalf of another candidate.

After considering all facts and circumstances, the court rejected the bail application of accused Manish Kumar alias Rajnish Kumar.
