Lohardaga District Successfully Hosts Its First District-Level ICT Championship

For the first time, the Jharkhand Education Project organised a district-level ICT Championship in Lohardaga on 18 and 19 November 2025 at Kasturba Chief Minister Excellence School (Girls), Lohardaga. The two-day event saw enthusiastic participation from block-level selected students of Classes 9 to 12. The programme was held under the E-Education Festival, aimed at enhancing digital skills, technical understanding and innovative abilities among students.
The successful participants of the district competition will now represent Lohardaga at the upcoming state-level ICT Championship. This initiative is part of the statewide effort by the Education Department and Jharkhand Education Project Council to digitally empower students of government schools.
Officials’ Remarks
District Education Officer Sunanda Das Chandramouleswar stated that the ICT Championship provides an important platform for students to connect with the digital world, develop technical skills and showcase creativity. She added,
“Platforms like the ICT Championship will play a pivotal role in enhancing creative thinking, technological competence and confidence among children. We expect Lohardaga students to excel at the state and national levels.”

- Coding and project creation
- Digital models related to Science, Mathematics and Social Science
This district-level event was organised for the first time in Lohardaga as per the directives of the Jharkhand Education Project Council, Ranchi. Students who were winners at the block level in Classes 9–10 and 11–12 participated in the competition. The district-level winners will be awarded in the upcoming felicitation programme.
