Jharkhand/Ranchi: As per the instructions of Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate, Ranchi, Shri Manjunath Bhajantri, a special food safety inspection campaign is being conducted in view of the festivals. Based on information received, the Food Safety Department team and Sukhdev Nagar police jointly raided a food establishment in Madhukam.
During this inspection, samples of suspected adulterated ghee and vegetable oil were seized from the unlicensed food business and sent to the food testing laboratory for testing. 42 kilograms of suspected ghee was also seized on the spot, and the food business's unit was ordered to be closed until further orders.
During the inspection campaign, several establishments were inspected, including Kaveri Restaurant (Piska Mod), Bhola Mishthan Bhandar (Piska Mod), Bikaner Sweets (Ratu Road Chowk), and Chhappan Bhog (Ratu Road Chowk). All establishments were instructed to display FSSAI license, maintain medical fitness certificate of food handlers, take special care of cleanliness in food establishments and factories and provide quality food items to the consumers.
The special inspection campaign under the supervision of the Sub-Divisional Officer Sadar will continue till the end of the festivals, so that safe and pure food items can be made available to the general public.
