He stated that the low-pressure area over the northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal, off the south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh coast, moved nearly westward at a speed of 12 km per hour. It is highly likely to move nearly westward through south Odisha and Chhattisgarh, gradually weakening and transforming into a low-pressure area. This will improve the weather.
On Saturday, Ranchi and surrounding areas received light rain and moderate winds in the morning. This brought a feeling of coolness and a drop in temperatures.
Meanwhile, the highest rainfall in Jharkhand during the last 24 hours was recorded in Chainpur, Palamu district, at 51 mm. During this period, good rainfall was also recorded in the capital Ranchi and surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, the highest temperature in Jharkhand was recorded at 37.1 degrees Celsius in Saraikela and the lowest temperature was recorded at 21.4 degrees Celsius in Latehar.
On Saturday, the maximum temperature in Ranchi was recorded at 31.6 degrees Celsius, Jamshedpur at 34 degrees Celsius, Daltonganj at 30.2 degrees Celsius, Bokaro at 31.5 degrees Celsius and Chaibasa at 34.8 degrees Celsius.
