Jharkhand/Ranchi: Heavy rain is expected in various districts of Jharkhand from October 1st to 4th, the Meteorological Department announced on Tuesday.
According to the department, this change in weather is being caused by a low pressure area in the North Andaman Sea. As a result, rain, strong winds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour, and lightning are expected in various districts of the state.
On October 2nd, heavy rain is expected in the northeastern districts of Deoghar, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur, and Sahibganj, as well as in the central areas adjoining these districts. Strong winds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour and lightning are also expected in some areas.
On October 3rd, strong winds accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning are also expected in many areas of the state. Also, heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places in the northeastern and northcentral parts of the state on October 1.
Here, during the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall in the state was recorded at 16.6 mm in Ghatshila of East Singhbhum district. The highest temperature in the state was recorded at 33.5 degrees Celsius in Saraikela and the lowest temperature was recorded at 20.7 degrees Celsius in Latehar.
During the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature was recorded at 29.4 degrees Celsius in the capital Ranchi, 31.3 degrees Celsius in Jamshedpur, 33.2 degrees Celsius in Daltonganj, 32.2 degrees Celsius in Bokaro and 33.4 degrees Celsius in Chaibasa.
