Jharkhand/Palamu(H.S.): A fierce encounter took place on Sunday between the banned militant organization Third Conference Presentation Committee (TSPC) and security forces between Kash and Banshi Khurd forest in the border area of Manatu and Tarhasi police station of Palamu district. In this encounter, TSPC's rewarded commander Mukhdev Yadav was killed, whose body was recovered from the spot. A reward of Rs 5 lakh was declared on Mukhdev.
SP Rishma Rameshan confirmed the encounter and said that the search operation is going on in the area. Two Palamu police personnel were martyred in the encounter with the same TSPC team with which the security forces had an encounter on the night of 03 September.
Earlier, a search operation was started for commander Shashikant with a bounty of Rs 10 lakh. Cobra, Jaguar and Palamu police were deployed in the search operation. As soon as the team of security forces entered the forests of Manatu during the search operation, the TSPC militants started firing. The security forces also launched a retaliatory action in which the prize-winning commander Mukhdev was killed. The body and the INSAS rifle have been recovered from the encounter site.
