Jharkhand Governor Finds Spiritual Solace at Yogoda Satsang Ashram
Ranchi: Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Thursday visited the historic Yogoda Satsang Ashram in Ranchi, describing the experience as a long-awaited journey toward spiritual peace. During his visit, the Governor paid his respects at the Smriti Mandir and spent time in deep meditation, experiencing what he termed "profound spiritual tranquility."
The Governor took a detailed tour of the ashram premises, including a visit to the sacred room where the legendary spiritual master, Swami Paramahansa Yogananda, used to reside. The visit underscored the deep spiritual heritage that the city of Ranchi holds on the global map.
Spiritual and Social Contributions
Senior monk Swami Ishwarananda Giri briefed the Governor on the Ashram’s wide-ranging activities. He explained how the Society, following the ancient Guru-Shishya tradition, works tirelessly toward character building, self-development, and human welfare. The Governor was highly appreciative of the Ashram’s dual focus on spiritual enlightenment and social service.
A Literary Presentation
To mark the occasion, Swami Ishwarananda Giri presented the Governor with a collection of spiritual classics, including:

* The Journey to Self-Realization
“I had been wishing to visit this sacred place for a very long time, and today that wish has finally been fulfilled,” Governor Gangwar stated. He commended the Yogoda Satsang Society for its selfless efforts in guiding society toward a more meaningful and peaceful life.
