Ranchi: Heshmi Toll Plaza located in NH 39 Mandar block, where thousands of vehicles pass through daily, is allowed to pass free of cost on the basis of Aadhar Card for the convenience of the local people of Mandar and Chanho Blocks. Although there is no provision for such facility in the guidelines of NHAI, but the company has taken a big step to provide relief to the local people from toll. But even those people who do not reside in these blocks have started taking advantage of this facility. They call themselves local by making fake Aadhar Cards in a wrong way and cross the toll gate without paying toll. 2000 vehicles are being passed free of cost every day due to which the company is incurring a loss of 1.5 to 2 lakhs. If the local people were taking this benefit then it would have been fine but other people are taking advantage of it under the guise of local people.

When the reporter of the M Bharat 24  News live Portal investigated in this regard, it was learned from the sources that all the addresses in the Aadhar card are shown as local but the PIN code is not changed. The matter was exposed through the PIN code and information was received about taking advantage by making fake Aadhar cards.

Continuous reports of misbehavior at Heshmi Toll Plaza

Information has been received from sources that the passengers coming and going from Heshmi Toll Plaza located on NH 39 are mistreated. People on duty at the toll gate misbehave. There are more complaints of misbehavior by women workers. On one hand, local people are being given relief from toll, on the other hand, the reports of misbehavior are tarnishing the reputation of the company. In between, there are continuous reports of disputes increasing.
