Training focuses on streamlining treatment and assistance for road accident victims; emphasis on better coordination between hospitals and police.

Ranchi, November 2, 2026: A training programme was organised for administrators of all government and private hospitals in Ranchi district to streamline the process of providing timely medical treatment and assistance to road accident victims under the PM-RAHAT scheme.

The programme was held under the chairmanship of the Civil Surgeon, Ranchi, and focused on the integration of e-DAR (Electronic Detailed Accident Report) with TMS (Transaction Management System).

Medical officers, hospital managers, executive managers and hospital coordinators from various hospitals participated in the training.

The training was jointly conducted by the State Roll Out Manager (SRM) and District Roll Out Manager (DRM) of NIC Jharkhand, Ranchi.

Two Key Processes Explained

During the session, participants were informed that the integration of e-DAR and TMS would enable the identification and verification of road accident victims by linking records available on both platforms.

Under the first process, when the police provide an e-DAR Victim ID to a hospital, hospital staff enter the ID into TMS. The system then retrieves the accident and victim details from e-DAR. After verification, the e-DAR Victim ID is mapped with the TMS Victim ID.

Under the second process, if an accident victim is admitted directly to a hospital without an e-DAR Victim ID, the hospital enters the victim's details into TMS and generates a TMS Victim ID. The information is then shared with the concerned police station for verification of the accident site and victim details. Subsequently, the required IDs are linked with the TMS Victim ID.

Hospital Administrators Briefed on Reporting Procedures

The training also included demonstrations on viewing the list of victims registered in TMS, the approval process, the status of completed and rejected cases, and accessing related reports.

Participants were also briefed on state-wise and district-wise information about beneficiaries under PMJAY, along with TMS reports and patient lists.

Hospital administrators were advised to ensure that accurate and complete information is entered at every stage, verify the available details carefully and coordinate with the concerned police units whenever required.

The primary objective of the training was to strengthen coordination and information sharing between hospitals and police authorities while improving practical understanding of the TMS procedures under the PM-RAHAT scheme.
