Police arrested father and son red handed while selling brown sugar

 

Ranchi: Ranchi Police has achieved another major success in the anti-drug campaign. Based on secret information, the police raided the Krishnapuri area of Chutia police station area and arrested two criminals red handed while selling brown sugar. Both are father and son. The arrested accused include Radheshyam Sao (age 19 years) and his father Rambabu Sao (age 39 years), who are residents of Krishnapuri Road No. 02, Police Station Chutia. Police have recovered about 16.50 grams of brown sugar from them.

      According to the police, Rambabu Sao has also gone to jail in the past on charges of smuggling brown sugar. An FIR has been registered against both the arrested accused in Chutia police station under Section 21 (B) and 22 (B) of the NDPS Act on case number 128/25, dated 31.05.2025. Further investigation and action is underway on the basis of police interrogation.
