Strict Action Against Encroachment in Ranchi: Municipal Corporation Demolishes Several Illegal Structures
The Ranchi Municipal Corporation is conducting a continuous drive to make the city free of encroachments. In line with this initiative, on April 16, 2026, the enforcement team carried out a special operation spanning from Durga Soren Chowk to Namkum Station, and from Doranda to Hinu Chowk. During the operation, several illegal pushcarts, counters, and kiosks were seized, and temporary structures constructed using bamboo poles and plastic sheets were removed to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. The Corporation has issued a stern warning to the concerned individuals, stating that legal action will be initiated against anyone found encroaching again. This campaign will continue in the future with the aim of making the city clean and organized.
