JMM Takes a Dig at Babulal Marandi Over “Mission-11”

Ranchi, April 14: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has launched a scathing attack on BJP Leader of the Opposition, Babulal Marandi. The party's Central General Secretary, Vinod Kumar Pandey, stated that Marandi is constantly engaging in bizarre antics in an attempt to realize his “Mission-11,” and in the process, is steadily eroding his own political credibility.

Vinod Pandey noted that recently, when a police officer used derogatory language, the state government took immediate action by relieving him of his duties—a move that demonstrates the government's accountability. However, the fact that Babulal Marandi chose to raise questions even regarding this incident reveals that he is pursuing a politics of opposition on every single issue.

Taking a dig at him, he remarked that Marandi is making daily rounds of the Raj Bhavan merely to stay in the limelight, raising frivolous issues in the process. Furthermore, he attempts to mislead the public by rehashing old domicile-related controversies.

Pandey claimed that even BJP workers are now feeling uncomfortable with Marandi and are beginning to question his leadership. He alleged that while the BJP secured 24 seats in the 2019 Assembly elections, that tally dropped to 21 in 2024—a decline for which Marandi's strategy is directly responsible.

The JMM leader remarked sarcastically that Marandi has already set a target of a “symbolic 11 seats” for the 2029 elections; however, if the current trajectory persists, the BJP could face even greater difficulties in the future.

He asserted that Babulal Marandi should first clarify his own agenda and articulate to the public exactly what he aims to achieve, rather than engaging solely in a politics of mutual recrimination.
