Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari Pays Tribute on Ambedkar Jayanti in Pakur; Emphasizes the Significance of the Constitution
Pakur, April 14, 2026: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Bhimrao Ambedkar, Jharkhand's Health Minister, Dr. Irfan Ansari, paid tribute by garlanding his statue in Pakur. A large number of local residents, public representatives, and party workers were present during the ceremony. Rajesh Thakur, the former President of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, was also in attendance on this occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Irfan Ansari stated that Ambedkar Jayanti serves as a day to reaffirm the values of social justice, equality, and rights. He mentioned that, although he was originally scheduled to be in Jamtara, he traveled to Pakur specifically to participate in this significant party event.
Paying homage to Babasaheb, the Minister remarked that were it not for him, he himself would not have been able to become a Minister today, nor would millions of people across the country have secured their rightful entitlements. He emphatically asserted that the Constitution grants equal rights to all citizens, and it is the collective responsibility of everyone to safeguard it.
He further added that Babasaheb's ideals remain entirely relevant even today, and that delivering justice to the last person in society would constitute the truest tribute to him.
The program concluded with a collective pledge towards nation-building and social harmony.
