Sarhul Festival in Sirmtoli: Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Kalpana Soren Convey Message of Connection with Nature
On the occasion of the Sarhul festival, Chief Minister Hemant Soren performed prayers and rituals in accordance with traditional customs at the Sarna site located in Sirmtoli, Ranchi. MLA Kalpana Soren was also present during the event. The Sarhul *puja* was conducted with due rites and rituals by the *Pahan* (priest), who bestowed blessings upon the Chief Minister by adorning him with *Sarai* flowers—a symbol of the unbreakable bond between nature and humanity.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister extended his best wishes for the happiness, prosperity, and progress of the people of the state. He stated that Sarhul stands as a symbol of nature, culture, and social harmony, and conveys to us the message of environmental conservation. He called upon the people to pledge themselves to the preservation and nurturing of nature. The Chief Minister further affirmed that the State Government remains continuously committed to the preservation and promotion of tribal traditions, culture, and heritage.
