High Alert in Ranchi for Eid and Sarhul; Strict Security Arrangements in Place
Ranchi, March 21, 2026: In view of the Eid-ul-Fitr and Sarhul festivals, the district administration has implemented comprehensive security arrangements across the city. Acting under the directives of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Manjunath Bhajantri, adequate police forces, magistrates, and plainclothes personnel have been deployed in sensitive and crowded areas.
Surveillance is being conducted using CCTV cameras and drones at key locations, mosques, places of worship, and markets. To ensure smooth traffic flow, special arrangements have been made on major routes, and diversions have been implemented where necessary.
The administration has appealed to the Sarna Samiti, volunteers, and the Sarva Dharma Sadbhavana Samiti (All-Faith Harmony Committee) for their cooperation. Additionally, a strict watch is being kept on individuals involved in theft, pickpocketing, and the spreading of rumors.
The district administration has urged the public to refrain from believing rumors, to remain vigilant, and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police, so that the festivals may conclude in a peaceful atmosphere.
