RTE Admissions in Ranchi: Lottery for 1,161 Seats to be Held Soon Following 1,499 Applications
The Ranchi District Administration has transparently completed the enrollment process for the 25% reserved seats in private schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009. Applications for the 2026-27 academic session were accepted from February 16 to March 22, resulting in a total of 1,499 applications received.
During a review meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri, it was reported that 1,161 seats are available across 117 schools in the district. The verification of documents for all applications is scheduled to be completed by March 26. Following this, the selection process will be conducted through a computerized online lottery. The administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring fair and quality education.
