BJP Launches Fierce Attack Over Hazaribagh Incident; Issues 24-Hour Ultimatum—Threatens Statewide Agitation
Ranchi: BJP State President and MP Aditya Sahu launched a scathing attack on the state government, cornering it over the brutal atrocity committed against a minor girl in Kusumba village, Hazaribagh. He asserted that this incident is "even more heinous than the Nirbhaya case" and demanded that the culprits be sentenced directly to death.
Sahu alleged that the police administration has proven to be a complete failure and utterly insensitive, noting that the victim's family received absolutely no support for four days. Taking aim at Chief Minister Hemant Soren, he stated that the government has failed completely in maintaining law and order, leaving the public feeling unsafe.
Issuing a 24-hour ultimatum to the government, the BJP warned that if arrests are not made within this timeframe, a torchlight procession will be organized on March 29, followed by a complete shutdown of Hazaribagh on March 30. Furthermore, the party's women's wing (*Mahila Morcha*) will take to the streets across the entire state in protest.
He demanded that the victim's family be provided with a compensation of ₹50 lakh, a job, and security cover.
