15 Cells Created for Ghatshila By-Election: Deputy Commissioner


Jharkhand/East Singhbhum: The Election Commission of India has announced a by-election for the 45-Ghatshila (ST) Assembly Constituency in the district. The by-election will be held on November 11th, with the results declared on November 14th. The Model Code of Conduct came into effect across the region upon the issuance of the by-election notification.

On this occasion, at a press conference held in the Collectorate auditorium on Monday, District Election Officer Karna Satyarthi and Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey provided information on the election schedule, the provisions of the Code of Conduct, and administrative preparations.

District Election Officer Karna Satyarthi stated that all preparations have been initiated to conduct fair, transparent, and peaceful elections in the district in accordance with the Election Commission's guidelines.

With the implementation of the Code of Conduct, necessary instructions have been issued to all cells related to election work. To ensure the successful completion of the by-election process, 15 cells have been formed to ensure work is carried out at various stages. These include election planning, communication planning and electoral rolls, personnel, training, and EVMs, among others. He said that clear guidelines have been issued to all nodal officers regarding their roles and responsibilities.
