Jharkhand/Ranchi: Police arrested 18 people on Friday while gambling. The arrested accused include Karan Mehta, Pintu Paswan, Vikas Yadav, Hrithik Yadav, Baleshwar Mehta, Deepak Kumar Soni, Ajay Kumar, Bablu Sharma, Ajay Yadav, Suraj Kumar, Sonu Gupta, Saurabh Singh, Happy Kataria, Sanjeev Sahu, Rakesh Mehta, Mohit Prajapati, Raja Sahu, and Dhananjay Sahu. All the arrested accused are residents of the Sukhdevnagar and Argora police station areas. Police recovered ₹3.34 lakh, 14 mobile phones, 24 packets of cards, and a scooter from them.
City SP Paras Rana stated in a press conference on Friday that, based on a tip-off received by SSP Rakesh Ranjan, a police team led by Hatia DSP took action late on the night of September 25th and arrested all the people gambling. Police raided Rajkumar Sahu's rented house near Anandpuri Chowk at Argora Chowk. During the raid, police caught a total of 18 people red-handed gambling.
