According to eyewitnesses, both the autos were coming from opposite directions and suddenly the driver lost his balance, due to which this collision took place. After the accident, there was chaos at the spot. Hearing the screams of the injured, the people nearby reached the spot and immediately informed the police. The police of Birni police station reached the spot and with the help of local people, all the injured were taken to the hospital. SI Shambhu Singh of Birni police station himself reached the hospital and enquired about the condition of the injured. He told that two seriously injured people - Premchand Yadav and Sanjay Dom have been referred to Giridih Sadar Hospital, while the rest of the injured are being treated at the Community Health Center.
Those injured in the accident include Purnima Devi, Prerna Kumari, Ladpari Devi, Soni Devi, Manju Devi, Kareena Kumari, Gayatri Devi, Khushboo Devi, Ravi Kumar, Rudraksh Kumar, Ansh Kumar, Ranjit Kumar, Premchand Yadav and Sanjay Dom. Police have seized both the autos from the spot and are investigating the matter.
