Ranchi, October 8, 2026: The Jharkhand unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expressed deep grief over the demise of Rupi Soren, wife of late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren and mother of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. BJP leaders described her death as an irreparable loss for the Soren family as well as for Jharkhand.
BJP State President Aditya Sahu said Rupi Soren’s demise was deeply saddening. He said that after the recent demise of Guruji, the loss of his wife was an extremely painful moment for the Soren family. He prayed to God to grant a place to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family and well-wishers to endure the difficult time.
Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi said he was deeply distressed by the news of the demise of Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s mother. Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, he prayed for peace for the departed soul and strength for the family to bear the immense loss.
Former Chief Ministers Raghubar Das, Arjun Munda, Champai Soren and Madhu Koda, National Secretary Dr Pradeep Kumar Verma, Union Ministers Annapurna Devi and Sanjay Seth, former State Presidents Deepak Prakash, Ravindra Kumar Rai, Dineshanand Goswami and Yadunath Pandey, along with several other senior BJP leaders, also expressed their condolences.
Other BJP leaders and office-bearers, including Geeta Koda, Ganesh Mishra, Amar Kumar Bauri, Manoj Singh, C.P. The BJP leaders conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the Soren family and prayed for strength for the bereaved family and supporters during this difficult time.
