Ranchi, October 8, 2026: Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar visited the Morabadi residence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and paid his heartfelt tribute to Rupi Soren, the Chief Minister’s mother. He offered floral tributes to her mortal remains and met Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his family members, conveying his deep condolences on the bereavement.
A large number of political leaders, public representatives, government officials and members of the public also reached the Chief Minister’s Morabadi residence to pay their last respects to Rupi Soren. State Minister Chamra Linda, Minister Deepika Pandey Singh, MPs Vijay Hansda and Dhullu Mahto, former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, former Chief Minister Champai Soren, former Deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Mahto, along with several MLAs, former ministers and senior administrative officials, offered floral tributes to the mortal remains of Rupi Soren.
The Governor and other dignitaries expressed their condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul. They also prayed to God to grant Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his family the strength, courage and solace to bear the irreparable loss.
