Ranchi: Preeti Singh, President of CCL’s Arpita Mahila Mandal, has been honoured with the Jharkhand Iconic Award for her notable contribution to women’s empowerment and social service. The award was presented by the organisers and director of Mahabali Entertainment and East Zone Talent Show. A total of five distinguished individuals and organisations were honoured for their outstanding contribution to society.
Arpita Mahila Mandal was recognised for its initiatives in education, women’s empowerment, skill development and support for underprivileged sections. The organisation has supported the marriages of daughters from needy families and provided bicycles to school-going girls and women engaged in daily wage work. Tablets have also been provided to meritorious students, while coolers have been distributed during summer and handcarts have been provided to small vendors.
The Mandal has also provided sewing machines to women after skill training and certification, along with vending machines to promote menstrual hygiene.
After receiving the award, Preeti Singh said the honour was a recognition of the collective efforts of the entire team. She added that the organisation would continue its service initiatives aimed at empowering women and supporting people in need.
Vice President Rita Mishra, Indu Mishra, Rita Tiwari and other members of Arpita Mahila Mandal were present on the occasion.
