Ranchi, October 7, 2026: Rupi Soren, Central Vice-President of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), mother of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and wife of late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
According to a statement issued by the JMM, the mortal remains of Rupi Soren will be taken to her ancestral village Nemra in Ramgarh at 9:00 AM on Thursday, October 8. Her last rites will be performed there.
JMM Central General Secretary Vinod Kumar Pandey, on behalf of the JMM family and the bereaved family members, paid his final respects and offered heartfelt tribute to the departed soul.
