Over 15,000 Congress Workers from Jharkhand to Participate in Democracy Save Rally; More Than 1 Million Congress and INDIA Alliance Supporters Expected at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan

Ranchi, October 31, 2026: Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee President Keshav Mahto Kamlesh has stated that the Congress movement will continue until Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar resigns. He said the Congress will continue its struggle, from the streets to Parliament, to protect democracy, the Constitution and people's voting rights. He further informed that all preparations have been completed for the Democracy Save Rally to be held at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. More than 1 million Congress and INDIA alliance workers and supporters are expected to participate in the rally from across the country.

Keshav Mahto Kamlesh said that more than 15,000 Congress workers from Jharkhand will participate in the rally. Thousands of workers from all districts of the state are reaching Delhi. He alleged that the country's democratic system is facing serious challenges and questions are being raised over the impartiality of constitutional institutions like the Election Commission. He further alleged that attempts are being made to weaken people's voting rights. In such circumstances, a widespread public movement is essential to protect democracy and the Constitution.

He said that the Democracy Save Rally is not merely a political programme but a struggle for the rights and future of every citizen of the country. The Congress is committed to upholding the democratic and constitutional values of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. He asserted that the Congress would not allow democracy to be weakened under any circumstances. The voice rising from Ramlila Maidan, he said, would further strengthen the nationwide resolve to protect democracy and the Constitution.
