Ranchi, September 23, 2026: Only seven days remain for claims and objections under the ongoing SIR-2026 in Jharkhand. The deadline is September 30, 2026, for adding names to the voter list, raising objections, deleting names, correcting details, or transferring voter registration.
Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar has urged eligible citizens not to wait until the last date and to submit their applications on time.
Citizens whose names are missing from the draft voter list can submit Form-6. Form-7 can be used for objections or deletion requests, while Form-8 can be used for corrections or transfer of voter registration.
After September 30, the election machinery will begin the process of digitisation, verification, issuing notices and hearings before publishing the final electoral roll.
