Ranchi, September 22, 2026: A large number of applications have been received during the claims and objections period under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Jharkhand.
According to the SIR bulletin issued by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, a total of 5,83,116 applications have been received through Form-6. Of these, 4,813 applications were received on September 21 alone.
A total of 98 applications have been received through Form-6A, while no new Form-6A application was received on September 21.
Through Form-7, a total of 9,322 applications/objections have been received, including 241 received on September 21.
Meanwhile, 3,85,640 applications have been received through Form-8, of which 4,367 were received on September 21.
The Election Department has fixed September 30, 2026, as the last date for filing claims and objections under the SIR process. The final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on October 19, 2026.
Voters have been advised to complete the process related to their names, details, claims and objections within the stipulated deadline.
