Ranchi, September 22, 2026: The Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries has expressed concern over the Transport Nagar project not yet becoming fully operational and the lack of clarity regarding the allocation process. Chamber President Tulsi Patel spoke to Departmental Secretary Rajiv Ranjan over the telephone on Tuesday and discussed issues related to Transport Nagar and the current difficulties being faced by transporters.
Tulsi Patel said that Transport Nagar was developed with the objective of streamlining transportation and goods vehicle-related activities in Ranchi. However, as the facility has not yet become fully operational, transporters are unable to receive the expected facilities.
He said that the lack of clear information regarding the allocation process and other related matters has created confusion among transporters. Tulsi Patel stressed that Transport Nagar should be made operational at the earliest in the interest of people associated with Ranchi’s transport sector. Any confusion regarding the allocation process should be resolved and a clear system should be put in place.
Tulsi Patel said that the Chamber would soon meet the departmental secretary to discuss the matter in detail and make efforts to resolve the problems being faced by transporters. He also said that, keeping the concerns of transporters in view, he had spoken to the Chief Secretary on the issue a day earlier.
A meeting was also held at the Chamber Bhawan on the matter. Chamber President Tulsi Patel, General Secretary Rohit Agrawal, Joint Secretary Amit Sharma, Joint Secretary Pooja Dhaddha, Executive Committee Member Monika Goenka, and members Santosh Agrawal and Alok Singh were present at the meeting.
