Ranchi, September 21, 2026: The Chief Electoral Officer’s Office, Jharkhand, has released the latest bulletin on the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. According to the bulletin dated September 21, a total of 5,77,318 applications have been received through Form-6 during the claims and objections period up to September 19. As many as 5,785 Form-6 applications were received on September 20 alone.
The bulletin stated that 98 applications have been received through Form-6A, with no new application reported on September 20. Form-7, which is used for claims and objections relating to deletion or other corrections in the electoral roll, has received a total of 9,044 applications. Of these, 265 applications were received on September 20.
Meanwhile, 3,80,124 applications have been received through Form-8 for corrections and other changes in electoral roll entries. A total of 5,516 Form-8 applications were received on September 20.
The Chief Electoral Officer’s Office has stated that the last date for submitting claims and objections under the SIR process is September 30, 2026.
The final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on October 19, 2026. Voters and eligible citizens can submit the required forms within the stipulated period for inclusion, correction or other eligible changes in the electoral roll.
