Ranchi, September 13, 2026: A large number of applications have been received under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Jharkhand. According to the SIR Bulletin issued by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, a total of 4,54,189 applications had been received through Form-6 as of September 11, 2026. On September 12 alone, 16,484 Form-6 applications were received.
The bulletin stated that 81 applications had been received through Form-6A, including three applications received on September 12.
A total of 5,302 applications/objections have been received through Form-7, with 274 received on September 12.
Meanwhile, 2,88,090 applications have been received through Form-8. Of these, 10,781 applications were received on September 12.
The Election Department has fixed September 15, 2026, as the last date for filing claims and objections under the SIR exercise.
The Final Electoral Roll is scheduled to be published on October 19, 2026, after completion of the scrutiny and revision process.
