Ranchi, September 21, 2026: On the directions of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Tamar Police conducted an awareness campaign against illegal opium cultivation at High School, Lungtu, under the Tamar police station area on Monday.
During the campaign, students and local residents were informed about the social, economic and legal consequences of illegal opium cultivation. The police appealed to people not to engage in illegal opium cultivation under any circumstances and urged them to immediately inform the police or administration about any such activities in their surroundings.
Students and villagers were also encouraged to stay away from intoxicating substances and contribute to building a drug-free society.
The campaign aimed to strengthen efforts to prevent illegal opium cultivation in the area, increase public awareness and ensure active participation of local residents in the fight against drug abuse.
