New Delhi, September 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tribute to the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on their 25th anniversary and expressed solidarity with the families whose lives were changed forever by the horrific attacks.
Prime Minister Modi said terrorism has claimed countless lives across the world. He emphasised that India, having been a victim of cross-border terrorism, has been at the forefront of the fight against terrorism for several decades.
He said that although the threat of terrorism continues to evolve, India’s resolve to oppose terrorism in all its forms and manifestations remains unwavering. He also expressed solidarity with all efforts aimed at confronting this grave threat.
The Prime Minister also shared glimpses of his visit to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in 2014.
In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, “25 years after the horrific 9/11 attacks, we remember and pay tribute to the victims and stand in solidarity with the families whose lives were changed forever.
“Terrorism has claimed countless lives across the world. As a victim of cross-border terrorism, India has been at the forefront of this fight for several decades.
“While the threat of terrorism continues to evolve, our resolve to oppose terrorism in all its forms and manifestations remains unwavering. We stand in solidarity with all efforts to combat this grave threat.
