PM Modi Expresses Condolences Over Flood Losses in Nepal
New Delhi, August 27, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Nepal Prime Minister Balendra Shah and expressed his condolences over the loss of lives and property caused by floods in Nepal.
Prime Minister Modi said that the people of India stand in solidarity with their brothers and sisters in Nepal during this difficult time.
He reiterated that India is ready to provide all possible humanitarian assistance to Nepal. Indian teams are also working closely with Nepalese authorities in rescue and relief operations.
Sharing a post on X, Prime Minister Modi said that he had spoken with Prime Minister Balendra Shah and expressed condolences over the loss of lives caused by the floods. He reaffirmed India’s commitment to extending all possible humanitarian assistance and said that Indian teams are closely coordinating with Nepalese authorities in rescue and relief efforts.
