3.95 Lakh Women Receive Maiya Samman Aid Before Raksha Bandhan
Ranchi, August 26, 2026: Ahead of Raksha Bandhan, the Jharkhand government has provided a major financial benefit to women in Ranchi district under the Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana.
A total of 3,95,692 beneficiaries have received the August 2026 instalment of ₹2,500 each directly into their bank accounts through Aadhaar-based Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Overall, ₹98.92 crore has been transferred to the beneficiaries across Ranchi district
Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri said the scheme is an important initiative aimed at strengthening the economic empowerment and self-reliance of women. He said the district administration is committed to ensuring that every eligible woman receives the benefit in a transparent and timely manner.
The administration is regularly reviewing the payment process and issuing necessary directions to the concerned officials.
