'Vidhi Portal 2.0' Launched: Digital Management of Government Litigation in Jharkhand Set for a Boost
Ranchi: Taking a major step towards making the digital management of government legal cases more effective and transparent, the Jharkhand government has launched 'Vidhi Portal 2.0'. Advocate General Rohitashya Roy inaugurated the portal at an event held in the conference hall of the Jharkhand High Court. Senior officials from various departments, including IT Secretary Pooja Singhal, Law Department Secretary Neeraj Kumar Srivastava, and Senior Additional Advocate General (AAG) Achyut Keshav, were present on the occasion.
Through 'Vidhi Portal 2.0', all government departments, the Law Department, the Advocate General's office, and government counsels have been connected via an integrated digital platform. The portal offers modern features such as real-time monitoring, automated alerts, smart workflows, and advanced analytics, ensuring the timely review of cases and effective legal representation.
More than 20 new features have been added to this new version of the portal. These include e-Courts integration, smart cause lists, daily and weekly case digests, an executive dashboard, centralized notice management, and a mobile app. In the future, an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based legal analysis feature will also be added.
Advocate General Rohitashya Roy stated that this portal would prove to be a milestone in the better management of government litigation and in ensuring effective representation in courts. Meanwhile, IT Secretary Pooja Singhal described it as a significant initiative towards a technology-driven, transparent governance system.
The government has also announced a phased training program for officials and users across all departments to ensure the successful operation of the portal and to maximize the benefits of its various features.
