Cuts to rations for the poor will not be tolerated; strict action must be taken against erring dealers: Mukhiya Vikas Singh

Rajpur Panchayat Mukhiya Vikas Singh has expressed strong displeasure regarding alleged irregularities in ration distribution under the Public Distribution System (PDS). He alleged that certain ration dealers are providing less than the prescribed quantity of rations to economically and socially disadvantaged families and eligible beneficiaries, thereby violating the rights of the poor.
Mukhiya Vikas Singh stated that all ration dealers must provide the full ration entitlement to every eligible beneficiary in accordance with government-prescribed standards. He warned that if instances of ration cuts, distribution discrepancies, or any other irregularities come to light in the future, complaints would be lodged with the concerned department; furthermore, if necessary, he would personally visit the distribution site to ensure that rations are distributed transparently.
He also directed all PDS shopkeepers to provide an online printout or receipt of the ration distribution to every cardholder, ensuring complete transparency in the distribution process.
The Mukhiya asserted that no compromise regarding the rights of the poor would be tolerated. He urged beneficiaries facing ration cuts or other irregularities to lodge complaints with the relevant authorities so that an impartial investigation could be conducted and strict action taken against the guilty parties.
