Relief Amidst Scorching Heat—Inns-cum-Water Kiosks Launched at 15 Locations in Ranchi
Ranchi, April 11: In view of the escalating heat, the Ranchi Municipal Corporation has launched temporary inns (rest areas-cum-water kiosks) with the aim of providing relief to citizens. Mayor Roshni Khalkho and Deputy Mayor Neeraj Kumar inaugurated these facilities at Hinoo Chowk and Shaheed Maidan, Dhurwa. These inns feature arrangements for shade and clean, cold drinking water for pedestrians, street vendors, auto-rickshaw drivers, and laborers. The Corporation is establishing such centers at a total of 15 locations, which will remain operational for a period of 90 days. These facilities will be managed through Self-Help Groups. This initiative marks a commendable step towards public service and social responsibility.
