Intensive Vehicle Inspection in Bhandra; ₹85,500 in Fines Collected


An intensive vehicle inspection drive was conducted at the Chatti Picket, under the jurisdiction of the Bhandra Police Station in Lohardaga district, on April 11, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. This drive was carried out under the directives of the District Transport Officer, Jaya Shankhi Murmu. The objective of the campaign was to ensure compliance with the rules of the Motor Vehicles Act and to raise public awareness regarding road safety. During this operation, approximately 100 to 120 vehicles—comprising both two-wheelers and four-wheelers—were inspected. The inspection covered various parameters, including driving licenses, helmets, seat belts, speeding, and triple riding. For violations of the regulations, a total online fine of ₹85,500 was collected from 27 vehicles.
