Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam to Give New Direction to Women's Empowerment
Ranchi, April 11, 2026: Women entrepreneurs associated with the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) accorded a resounding welcome to the Government of India's Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. During a press conference held at the Chamber Bhavan, detailed discussions were held regarding women's empowerment, the proposed 33 percent reservation for women in Parliament and State Legislative Assemblies, and the socio-economic implications thereof.
Poonam Anand stated that once this bill becomes law, it will provide women with extensive opportunities for political representation. Describing it as a historic initiative, she expressed her gratitude to the Prime Minister. CA Manisha Biyani remarked that this is a long-awaited decision that will grant women genuine empowerment and usher in positive changes within the political system.
Terming it an inclusive bill, Dr. Suman Dubey asserted that women's participation is indispensable in transforming the nation into a global power. CA Shraddha Bagla noted that this Act would empower women to play a more effective role in addressing issues such as social security, healthcare, sanitation, and education. CA Sakshi Jain highlighted the critical importance of women's participation in achieving the goal of a 'Developed India' by the year 2047.
Vinita Singhania observed that increased women's participation in politics would render representative governance more sensitive and responsive, while Astha Kiran hailed the move as a commendable step toward the holistic empowerment of women. Speaking in unison, all the women entrepreneurs expressed their firm conviction that the implementation of this Act would lend fresh momentum to women's empowerment across the country and significantly bolster socio-economic development.
