Fake Army Recruitment Racket Busted; Accused of Defrauding ₹70 Lakhs Arrested

Ranchi: In a major breakthrough regarding Chutia Police Station Case No. 45/2026, the police have exposed a racket involved in defrauding people under the pretext of fake Army recruitment. Acting on intelligence received from Lucknow Military Intelligence, a Special Investigation Team (SIT)—constituted under the directives of the Senior Superintendent of Police—conducted a joint raid and arrested Arvind Prasad. The accused has defrauded individuals of approximately ₹70 lakhs by promising them jobs in the Army and the Military Engineer Services (MES). Several fake ID cards, joining letters, certificates, and other documents were recovered from his possession. An FIR has been registered against seven named accused persons in connection with this case, and further investigations are underway.
