Minister Deepika Pandey Singh Lays Foundation Stone for Guard Wall Construction
Mahagama, Jharkhand: Rural Development Minister Deepika Pandey Singh laid the foundation stone for the construction of a guard wall around a pond situated near the Durga Sthan in Khatti, within the Simanpur Panchayat of the Meharma Block. This project is expected to bolster water conservation, erosion prevention, and sanitation systems. The Minister stated that, with the sanctioning of funds exceeding ₹50 lakhs for the development of Panchayats, pending projects are now being completed at an accelerated pace. Expressing concern regarding the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), she reiterated the State Government's unwavering commitment to safeguarding the rights of laborers. Furthermore, she emphasized the priority being accorded to the development of drinking water facilities, irrigation systems, and road infrastructure within the region.
