SSP Holds Meeting to Strengthen Traffic Management in Ranchi; 5 New Traffic Posts Established
Ranchi, April 11, 2026: A review meeting regarding the smooth management of city traffic was held under the chairmanship of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Ranchi. All senior officers, Station House Officers (SHOs), and personnel of the Traffic Police attended the meeting. During the review, information was provided regarding the establishment of five additional traffic posts and the deployment of personnel to these locations. Discussions were held regarding the identification of congestion-prone areas, as well as the installation of signal lights, road dividers, and necessary equipment. Officers were instructed to remain active in their respective zones, ensure strict supervision of duties, mandate the use of body cameras, and ensure that appropriate action is taken under the Motor Vehicles Act. It was emphasized that disciplinary action would be taken against negligence, while exemplary work would be duly rewarded. Furthermore, strong emphasis was placed on maintaining police deployment at major intersections and crossings even during night hours.
