A Call for Democracy in Darjeeling: Youth and Seniors Deliver the Message of Voting
Darjeeling, West Bengal: Against the backdrop of the upcoming 2026 West Bengal Assembly Elections, the echoes of democracy resonated through the valleys of Darjeeling. A unique awareness campaign was organized at the city's famous square, 'Chowrasta,' in which everyone—from the youth to senior citizens—participated with great enthusiasm.
The program commenced with a voter's pledge, wherein all those present resolved to participate in a fair and peaceful election. This was followed by an energetic 'Walkathon' led by senior citizens, in which the youth participated with great zeal.
Also present on this occasion were the children's beloved characters, Chhota Bheem and Chutki, who infused the event with excitement while spreading awareness among the public.
