Minister Yogendra Prasad Issues Key Directives During Review of Drinking Water Schemes
A review meeting of the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation was held on Friday at the Vishwa Auditorium in Kanke, Ranchi, presided over by Minister Yogendra Prasad. During the meeting, the progress, achievements, and challenges associated with schemes being implemented under the Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0 and Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) Phase-2 were reviewed in detail. Officials delivered presentations regarding the current status of various schemes. In view of the approaching summer season, the Minister emphasized the urgent repair of malfunctioning hand pumps, the uninterrupted supply of clean drinking water, and the transparent and time-bound implementation of these schemes. He stated that ensuring access to safe drinking water for every rural household is the government's top priority, and any form of negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
