Administrative Reshuffle in Lohardaga: Sandeep Kumar Meena Takes Charge as Deputy Commissioner
Lohardaga, April 18, 2026: As part of an administrative reshuffle in the Lohardaga district, Sandeep Kumar Meena—an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS, Jharkhand Cadre 2019)—assumed office as the 43rd Deputy Commissioner. On this occasion, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Kumar Tarachand, formally handed over the charge to him.
The newly appointed Deputy Commissioner, Sandeep Kumar Meena, stated that his priority would be to effectively deliver the government's public welfare schemes to the common people. Additionally, the grievance redressal system will be strengthened to ensure the speedy resolution of complaints received.
Meanwhile, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Tarachand, expressed his gratitude to the residents, officials, and staff of the district for their cooperation, appealing to everyone to continue working with the same level of dedication.
Present on this occasion were Superintendent of Police Sadiq Anwar Rizvi, Additional Collector Jitendra Munda, ITDA Project Director Sushma Neelam Soren, Sub-Divisional Officer Amit Kumar, along with other district-level officials.
