Chief Minister Hemant Soren Offers Prayers on Ram Navami; Prays for the State's Happiness and Prosperity
Ranchi, March 27, 2026 — On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accompanied by his wife and MLA Kalpana Soren, performed rituals and offered prayers at the Shri Ram Janaki Tapovan Temple in Niwaranpur. During the ceremony, he bowed his head at the feet of *Maryada Purushottam* (the Ideal Man), Lord Ram, and prayed for the state's progress, peace, and prosperity.
Extending his greetings to the people of the state on Ram Navami, the Chief Minister stated that one should internalize the ideals of Lord Ram in their lives to strengthen harmony and cohesion within society. He remarked that this festival symbolizes faith, enthusiasm, and unity—values that everyone should collectively uphold to make this occasion truly historic and memorable.
He noted that, as in previous years, the Tapovan Temple witnessed a massive turnout of devotees this time as well, serving as a convergence point for processions (*Shobhayatras*) from various *Akhadas* (traditional groups).
Referring to the ongoing beautification work at the Tapovan Temple, the Chief Minister mentioned that efforts are proceeding rapidly to make the shrine even more magnificent.
Additionally, the Chief Minister offered prayers at the temple located within his official residence, seeking the holistic development and prosperity of the state.
